Next are the taper candle holders. These are particularly elegant, but unless the sconce has a wide drip pan, and you use dripless taper candles., they aren't very practical to burn. But they sure do look nice!

Pillar candle holder sconces are fairly new on the scene, and they make a very dramatic statement. You'll just need to be careful of where you place it on the wall, because they can be heavy, once you include the candle.

Believe it or not, there are even jar candle sconces. You really do need to be careful where you have these, especially if it's for 14-ounce or better scented jar candles.

My favorite place to find sconces is on ebay (where I probably shop way too much). Whether you've bought there before or are a first-timer, just remember to look for a sellers rating of 99.0% and over and you'll very likely be in great hands.
