Building a Gourmet Candle Business

The gourmet candle business is like any other; you need to do some homework before you "sign on the dotted line" (so to speak).   Because you want to know the pros and cons of any home business ahead of time.

If you have ever looked at a home-based business in the past (candles or not), you've probably been deluged with opportunities. How in the world do you sort things out?  And how can you compare one program to another?

All home businesses that build an organization are not created equal, but they all share some traits in common; let's look at them.

Building a Gourmet Candle Business

First, let's get one thing straight up-front.  Building a candle organization is part of network marketing.  Some of you may want to click the "back" button right now, now that I've said that.  But before you do, could you read a little more first?

Building a candle organization is just one way you can earn money with a Mia Bella candle business.

There are other ways to make money with the gourmet candle business -- you can do retailing, fund-raising or build a network.  You can do any one, or mix and match.  Because it's your choice.

How is Scent-Sations Different?

I was impressed (albeit a little discouraged) at a statistic Scent-Sations (the company that makes the candles) puts right on the site.  It's the amount of residual commissions that an average person makes on a yearly basis. 

At first the numbers looked low.  But you know what?  Like me, you've probably heard "make $10,000 a month fast" or some such claim.  But have you ever seen anyone actually publish what the average person makes!

And naturally that number includes a lot of people get into an organization then quit after two or three months when they aren't making $5,000 a month in residuals. It also includes people who join just so they can get their own candles at a discount!

On the other hand...some of those numbers looked really, really nice.  And I know one person personally who has replaced both her and her husband's income -- and then some!

The Compensation Plan

I love the compensation plan because you don't need a college degree to understand it! It's very straightforward, and you can see it at www.candlescentsbusiness.com.

In a nutshell, it's 6 levels deep, and as wide as you want. When you get to a certain volume in your organization, you can earn overrides. And naturally the more volume, the more overrides.
