Chocolate Scented Candle Review

This chocolate scented candle review is for two delectable scents -- Chocolate Kiss and Peppermint Truffle.

Chocolate Scented Candle - Peppermint TruffleThe chocolate candle is gaining in popularity.  Part of the reason is undoubtedly the comforting "homey" aroma -- think hot chocolate on the stove.

The other part may be since too much in the way of sweets is usually inappropriate in a healthy diet, the scent of chocolate is viewed as a decadent luxury.

Here the chocolate scented candles that you'll find in the shop.  But first, read the reviews below to find the aroma that's right for you!

Chocolate Kiss

When I first smelled this candle (before I burned it), it actually made me think of dark chocolate -- like the Special Dark bar.

But when I lit the candle and smelled it -- definitely, a Hershey's Kiss scent!

There was a pretty big change (before being lit and after being lit), but let me tell you, the fragrance is a dead-on match when the candle is burning.  You'd swear there was a Hershey's Kiss nearby.  If you tried burning this one in an office setting, everyone would be coming by!

There's not a whole lot more I can say other than very scrumptious.

Peppermint Truffle

Peppermint Truffle is a unique chocolate scented candle.  At first I was just going to call it like a chocolate mint, but that really doesn't cover it.

Since the Chocolate Kiss changed scent after being lit, as I write this I am burning a Peppermint Truffle candle (the one in the photo at the top of this page). It's beside me, so I can give an on-the-spot report as the melt pool grows larger, and releases more scent.

The scent is more delicate than the Chocolate Kiss or the White Chocolate and Coffee. As it burns, it's making me think of one of those Andes chocolate mints, but softer.

At any rate, it's making me hungry! As far as I am concerned, this one is a winner.

There's one other chocolate scented candle fragrance, and that is White Chocolate with Coffee, which I have reviewed on the coffee candles page.

Chocolate and the Scented Candle Gift

A scented candle gift is appreciated just about anytime and anywhere.  But are there any considerations about a candle that smells like chocolate?

The only concern would be if the recipient was trying to kick the chocolate habit, or starting a serious diet.

Actually, if the person you want to give a scented candle gift to is dieting, you may want to consider vanilla scented candles -- vanilla has been shown to curb cravings somewhat.
